A group of individuals interested in creating,
promoting or otherwise supporting Christian organizations worldwide,
and other related efforts, established the United Community Church USA
Foundation, a charitable corporation. The Foundation is intended to
raise charitable contributions to enable others who wish to support
such causes to have a vehicle with which to provide support.
Contributions made by US taxpayers will qualify as charitable
contributions for US tax purposes.
The Foundation supports entities such as the United Community Church
of Buenos Aires, the British and American Benevolent Society and other
similar organizations. Of special concern to the Foundation are
independent churches that have no denominational or other formal
support mechanisms. Such organizations need to apply to the Foundation
to receive grants, and to comply with certain reporting requirements
to assure that the Foundation's funds are being used as expressed
in the grant.
The Foundation supports organizations which provide educational,
social, health or other services, which are not in conflict with
Christian principles. The causes may be in the United States or worldwide.
Particular emphasis will be given to international Christian and
humanitarian activities. It is the express intent of the Board of
Directors that the Foundation promote international good will,
encourages and enables individuals to support and facilitate international
Christian and humanitarian efforts.
The Foundation is dependent upon the financial support of generous
individuals who are interested in helping implement those principles
mentioned above. Such gifts enable the Foundation to make grants in
support of the many needs found in the world today. An annual
report will be provided to the supporters of the Foundation,
commencing for the year ending in December 31, 2000. Donations
may be made directly to the United Community Church USA Foundation.
