Purpose Statement: The Congregational Care Committee of UCC is responsible for addressing the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the UCC family. |

| Committee Duties: | ||

The Congregational Care Committee will work alongside the pastoral staff, providing lay support in the effort to see that the needs of all members of the UCC family are being addressed. The committee will initiate and oversee activities and programs that promote caring interaction between many varied members of the congregation. The committee will endeavor to provide sustainable ways for the members of the church family to take care of each other.
Some of the specific duties of the committee include: - Home or hospital visits - Phone calls to homebound members - Providing meals (new mothers, family in crisis, etc.) - Participation in the Prayer Circle - Involvement in the Emergency Prayer Chain - Acting as a sponsor for a new member - Bilingual language assistance - Baking cookies for first-time visitors - Emergency babysitting - Providing transportation (special needs) - Providing housing for visiting groups (speakers, work teams, youth groups, etc.) |
